Materials processing is another field where high material throughput potential of the WSP‑H torch may be applied. Spheroidization of e.g. fused and crushed powders is an essential step for many of additive manufacturing techniques, such as 3D printing, laser cladding or thermal spraying itself.

The WSP‑H torch is able to process tens of kilograms of powders per hour (depending on material), enabling rapid production of highly flowable spheroidized powders.
